Mao. A landowner shot and killed one of two criminals who tried to dock in the municipal district of La Caya, municipality of Laguna Salada, and then proceeded to surrender to police in this city.
A commission headed by the Provincial Governor, José Eduardo Nunez, presented at the Northwest Regional Directorate of the National Police in this city of Mao, Mr. Leonardo Pichardo, who said in self-defense completed one of two robbers who intercepted him near his residence and attempted to strip him of his belongings at gunpoint.
The incident occurred around 8:00 am on Friday, when two items on a motorcycle intercepted Pichardo, and then asked at gunpoint to hand over everything, so that it is defended carrying a gun and reached for a shot at one of the two criminals, identified as Tejada Cabrera Romualdo, who lived in the borough of The Crab of the municipality of Villa Isabela, Puerto Plata.
The National Police said the other assailant managed to escape, while the institution officers combed the area trying to find it.
